How We Work

Co-laboring is the watch word in all that we do.  It is a bit of a challenge in the culture we live given the lessons we learned so well.  Our social values around independence and competition often get in the way of serving one another--the fundamental tenet of collaboration.

Our biggest test is a daily--almost moment-to-moment consciousness of our operating paradigms.  They are so close to us--they are virtually impossible to see, unless we are looking--seeking to be aware of the impact they are having on what we see, hear and do--how we are being with one another.

That is why we value lifelong learning--operating from an assumption that we are constantly evolving in our being.  We don't do this independently, as we have found it is too easy to fool ourselves.

We depend upon one another for this learning--constantly seeking feedback from fellow co-laborers, hoping that what we say and do is in alignment with who we are in the world, and expecting we will hear affirmation or counsel if our trusted brothers and sisters see differently.  It's all about operating with integrity.

Often in our work we find that what we thought to be so is entirely something different.  It is at these times that we must be able to turn to one another and sort through these challenges together.  It is not all about us--it is about the systems of the world that we find ourselves in, and how those systems tend to disvalue our beings.

We are each called to serve a particular purpose in life--to be a contribution--to make a difference in the world.  It is when we know and believe this--and when we can operate from this knowing in partnership with others, that we can expect to be served and be of service.  This is a tall order--and demands much discipline, desire and diligence.  We seek that in one another through our Life Plans.
